Messy again!

More pieces have arrived, and our flat is once again dusty!

(and we're happy to clean it - means more things are done!!!)

We have light in out black bathroom, and a close-up of the excellent concealed hinges of the door

Another door frame being prepared (with sticky tape - advanced futuristic technology!!!!)...

... and the doors (and sliding doors) waiting to be installed. The big one had to come in through the balcony, it wouldn't fit the elevator or the staircase!

Messy living room (and Leeloo!)

The kitchen is looking really great, though!

We finally moved in!

After an exhausting week of packing and moving a lot of boxes and furniture, we are finally living in our flat!

There is still a lot to do, but some parts are almost finished, like the bedrooms:

End of the week, more things are done! (thanks guys!)

The sitting area next to the entrance is done, with some excellent finishing detail on the connection to the wall!

We also added some bedside tables in the bedroom...

... aaahhhh yes, the joys of packing!

First visit!

Today our dog Leeloo saw the flat for the first time! I think she liked it :)

The floor in the bathroom is almost black. In the rest of the flat is grey.

Floor update...

And... our first small disappointment. We used a floor called Pandomo, and we were expecting something a lot smoother and shinier. It turned out to have a rough "matte" finishing, looking like fine cement. It's not bad, it's just... different! And surely it will look great once the furniture is assembled! Otherwise we'll have to buy lots of carpets! :-)

Work in progress - the floor!

Floor clean and ready for the first pass - a self  leveling cement.

And this is after the first pass - the cement is covered in fine sand to dry

Any similarities to a tropical beach are a pure coincidence.

Oh, and we have our heaters. And they are HUGE!
