Kitchen Update!

After another delivery of some missing pieces, the kitchen is now almost complete!

We have a white glass covering the wall behind the kitchen sink.

A cover for the induction plate in the same Corian material as the rest of the island.

And the main delivery - the huge LED lamp over the island!

Only some very small details left. Some more updates soon!

Cork wall

From the beginning we had the idea of having a wall in the corridor completely covered in cork, where we would be able to stick photographs, postcards and various other things from vacations and other events. And here is how it went:

The cork tiles (almost 50 in total!)

We had to cut one of the tiles carefully around a light switch...

And done! Now all we need are the pictures! We'll update this post once we have them.

For a bonus we have a great drawing that Natalia did in the chalkboard paint wall:

Leeloo's weekly calendar! Busy, busy...

Warm days in the balcony!

The weather has been excellent lately, so it's the perfect occasion to decorate our balcony with some flowers!

Here are all the things prepared (special thank you to a very helpful lady in Leroy Merlin who helps us choose all these things!)

 Leeloo approves.

We found these vases that fit perfectly into the shape of the railing!

It brings a little bit of color to our mostly black and white decoration!

Black bathroom update!

After months of waiting, we finally received the missing parts to the bathroom! The sink and the mirrors arrived, were installed, and here's what they look like:

Here is the sink, with all the cool details...

... a "hidden" recess to place shower products, invisible unless you're in the bathtub...

... two slots to hang the towel...

... and the ramp shaped sink!

We also have the mirrors on both sides!

Although of course, having two mirrors facing each other often produces some crazy results!

And Leeloo seems to approve.

More updates soon!

Coffee and Chocolate - Holidays in Ukraine (part 2)

The city of Lviv is known for it's production of both coffee and chocolate. So, of course, we had to visit these places!

 First the coffee manufacturer.

It smells fantastic! And you can purchase all kinds of coffee blends.

This place also has a bar with a great patio...

... where you can enjoy some unique drinks, like this coffee liquor.

 And the chocolate manufacturer.

 There is chocolate... well, everywhere!

On the top floor and roof there is a bar where you can see the city and, of course... have some chocolate!

Lviv - Holidays in Ukraine (part 1)

Right after returning from Spain we went for a couple of days to the city of Lviv, in Ukraine, for a friend's wedding. Unfortunately people generally have a bad idea of this country, but it was an excellent trip, and this city is incredibly beautiful, even if it needs some more preserving/restoring.

Very nice views from the top of the tower in the old town center.

We visited some very interesting places, like this Jewish restaurant, where we had to negotiate the bill!

A lot of effort is done to make the streets and restaurants pleasant.

Lots of street markets where you could find all kinds of antiques...

Is that a car on the roof?!?!

We often came across some very interesting vehicles...

It really is a very beautiful place, and we have some more interesting pictures of it coming soon!

Jimena de la Frontera - Holidays in Spain (part 2)

On the very last day of our vacation we went to a restaurant in the town of Jimena de la Frontera that we thought was so great, that it deserves it's own post.

The main square of Jimena, always with a lot of movement and life!

Through some very beautiful streets we get to the Hostel Anon, where the restaurant is.

The first room is more intimate and with a nice warm light...

... and then starts a labyrinth of patios that is absolutely amazing.

The view of Jimena from the one of the spaces on the top floor.

Great wine, great food, excellent place!
